Job Details

Know that you can make an impact, and want the opportunity to show what you can do? Join our team who work for a charity which is long-established but fresh and innovative in its thinking and work.

The Royal School of Church Music (RSCM) wishes to appoint a Development Officer, who will play a leading role in generating funds to support the missional work of the charity, especially through applications for Grants. The position reports directly to Hugh Morris, RSCM Director.

This newly-reworked position will be offered at 1.0 FTE. Applicants must have successful experience in raising funds for a charity, but this role is a first-rate opportunity to be able to demonstrate creativity, innovation, and build a track record of success. The RSCM is a stimulating organisation to work for, we nurture from childhood a love and understanding of church music, its role in worship, its part in our rich heritage across the UK, and its positive impact on wellbeing. It is essential for applicants to be enthused by, and have empathy with, the mission of the RSCM - the improvement of music in Christian worship.

The job will be based in Salisbury, but we can facilitate some home-working by agreement. This role may require some travelling to build connections and relationships.

The Royal School of Church Music is an educational Christian charity, committed to enabling the best use of music in worship, church life, and community. The RSCM supports a world-wide network of over 8,000 churches, schools and individuals.
Through education, training, publications, advice and encouragement, we aim to support church music today and to invest in church music for the future.
