A leading disability charity and provider of employment support are now recruiting for 2 Senior Job Coaches to join the Team on a full time, permanent basis. One vacancy will be based in Whipps Cross and the other in Hackney.

The charity knows how important job coaches are for people with disabilities to ensure they have better lives and connect to the community as equal citizens. The charity promote independence and inclusion through a range of learning and work opportunities and provide job coaches to Supported Internship programmes through a government funded grant.

As the Senior Job Coach, you will provide effective job coaching to interns aged 16 - 25 with Special Education Needs, including robust employment planning and employer engagement, leading to paid employment and successful outcomes for young people with SEND.

Some of your duties will include developing a wide variety of internship placements with Supported Internship partners, reporting on progress of the interns and make recommendations relating to their progression, coach interns in their job roles on placement, and provide continuous person-centred support to help them on their pathway to paid employment.

To be considered for this role, you'll need to have skills, experience and abilities such as:
-Experience in the supported employment/welfare to work sector including knowledge of Supported Employment Models and working with people with learning disabilities
-Experience proactively development partnerships with employers and creating employment opportunities for candidates with learning disabilities
-A creative approach to coaching employability skills to people with disabilities and an ability to advocate on their behalf to access job opportunities
-Excellent written and spoken communication
-A reliable and flexible approach to work
