They’re currently recruiting an Information Governance Lead to be responsible for protecting their integrity through compliance. You will be responsible for ensuring a strong and robust Information Governance (IG) Framework across all parts of SHG. You will lead Data Protection / Information Governance compliance, always promoting best practice and privacy in everything they do.
Contributing to large scale transformation projects by being able to work collaboratively to deliver agreed outcomes and you will be competent in providing technical advice, guidance and support to ensure compliance with legislative requirements, identifying and delivering improvements where needed. You will ensure key documentation is completed and kept up to date to evidence compliance and ensure colleagues are trained effectively and understand how to meet compliance requirements in their own roles.
You will be the main point of contact within the business and a credible subject matter expert (deputising for the DPO as required) being able to offer practical advice and guidance to others.
With experience of leading an Information Governance function in a similar organisation, you’ll be able to successfully implement change and new ways of working. You must be an excellent communicator and have experience of working with a range of stakeholders, at all levels, and able to negotiate and influence. It’s vital in this role that you can develop action plans / improvement plans to be implemented.
