  1. Work closely with the Fundraising & Marketing Director and the Events Consultant to deliver the Charity’s Event Strategy and ensure all objectives and targets are met.
  2. To assess event trends in-order to make recommendations to the Fundraising & Marketing Director for the introduction of new events.
  3. Manage all Charity events (digital and in-person), across Essex and Hertfordshire. Responsible for all aspects of event planning from conception through to delivery. This includes working at the events.
  4. Ensure event income, expenditure budgets and non-financial targets are met and provide monthly reports.
  5. To support and manage the professional development of the Events Coordinator and monitor performance against agreed targets. Work closely with the Volunteer Manager to ensure the Volunteer Team attend and support the Charity’s events.
  6. Chair event committees consisting of external & internal representatives.
  7. Ensure all event roles are fulfilled and adequately briefed (Volunteers, Staff, Clinical Crew, Trustees, external groups, etc.)
  8. Provide professional event management on the day and prepare a post event evaluation for the Fundraising & Marketing Director following the event.
  9. Work closely with the Communications Team to ensure event marketing and promotional materials are created and delivered on time.  Also ensure Event Web pages are accurate and up to date throughout the event campaign.
  10. Look at ways to increase supporter sponsorship sign ups across all events.
  11. Actively promote events through developing relationships with local contacts, groups and organisations.
  12. Plan the Charity’s Events Calendar ensuring it is updated and distributed as required.
  13. Establish and develop relationships with new and existing corporate partners across both counties to actively seek corporate sponsorship for all Charity events.
  14. Work closely with the Trusts & Special Projects Manager to prepare sponsorship proposals and packages for key opportunities at events.
  15. Have a solid understanding of Event Health and Safety practices and ensure these are in place and observed at all of our events.
  16. Manage the control and maintenance of EHAAT event equipment.  Assist in delivering staff and volunteer training in relation to event requirements.
  17. Oversee booking external contractors and event equipment as required.
  18. Build existing venue relationships and research potential new venues.
  19. Attend relevant networking events on a regular basis in order to promote the work of the Charity including attendance outside of normal working hours.
  20. Understand and use the Charity’s Customer Relationship Management system. 
  21. Travel across both counties promoting the work of the Charity and building relationships.
  22. Working closely with the Fundraising & Marketing Director and the Events Consultant develop and implement a strategy for our Visitor Centres to increase footfall, engagement and donations. Working closely with the Fundraising & Marketing Director and the Events Consultant develop and implement a strategy for the conference space at the new North Weald airbase to create a new income stream.
