About NPC

NPC is the leading, independent consultancy and think tank for the UK social sector, working with charities, philanthropic funders and policymakers to achieve the greatest possible social impact for the people, places and causes that need it.

We are recruiting a senior consultant to join our dynamic team which focuses on supporting organisations to maximise their social impact.

Our work is highly regarded in the sector, and we work with a range of clients including charities of all sizes, grant-making trusts, corporates, government, and philanthropists. This is an exciting opportunity if you have a passion for strategy, impact measurement and for making the social sector more effective.

Please note that this role is based in the UK and that applicants will need to provide proof of right to work in the UK should they progress to an interview. At this time, NPC is unable to consider applications from non-UK citizens who would require sponsorship or those who are not eligible for the EU Settlement Scheme.

About the role

You will work with a team of experienced consultants to deliver consulting projects for charities and funders. Often this involves working with organisations to examine what they want to achieve, the best routes to get there and how best to evaluate their effectiveness. NPC works across the UK voluntary sector, so you will get to work on a wide variety of topic areas and organisations, on both large and small projects. You would also have chances to contribute to NPC’s wider thinking, profile and engagement in the sector.

The ideal candidate will have a relevant experience in a consulting or research role in professional services, public policy or the third sector. You also have good research and analysis skills and are able to work flexibly, independently and on multiple projects at once.

Experience of managing research or consultancy projects is essential. Other experience that would be an advantage include managing digital projects, impact investing, user voice or data.

We are based in London with some flexibility around remote working.

The salary is £35,000–£40,000 per annum plus benefits. NPC benefits include 25 days’ annual leave, paid volunteering leave, and cycle to work loans. You can read about the full range of NPC benefits offers here.

We are open to applications from applicants looking to work part-time hours. We would also be open to secondment options. If you would like to discuss the opportunity prior to making an application, please contact us via recruitment@thinknpc.org to arrange a conversation.

How to apply

We are an equal opportunities employer. As part of the application process, we ask that you complete an equal opportunities form. Information supplied will be treated in confidence. If you do not wish to complete the equal opportunities form, it will not influence your application in any way.
