The SEO Manager Role:

An award-winning search marketing agency are looking for an SEO Manager / Strategist to join our team and lead our performance / content driven SEO function.
Working in a boutique agency, with a world leading global SEO client with presence in over 50+ markets worldwide. This role will be fully responsible for not only this client but a manageable sized portfolio of SEO clients in a range of sectors from fashion, entertainment, health and more.

This role is perfect for a candidate with pristine client servicing capability coupled with an in depth experience of content strategy and technical delivery of SEO best practices.

The agency's legacy has been strong in SEO and we're seeking a forward thinking success orientated, highly driven individual. The candidate will be required set the benchmark for the clients SEO strategy and evolution, whilst pushing the agency's own SEO offering forward through great work and innovation. The candidate should have a creative flare for content ideation, delivery and outreach strategies to ensure a best in class SEO service for the clients.

The successful candidate will be expected to be the face of the SEO department and have their finger on the SEO pulse at all times keeping the business and the clients up to speed with emerging trends and opportunities and looking to capitalise on these trends through service growth for the agency and market share, and traffic growth for the clients.

You will be responsible for defining SEO and content strategies for our clients, whilst adhering to our high quality standards. The digital industry is very fast paced and the candidate must be able to hit the ground running.

Reporting directly to the Director this is a role that will suit an individual with a passion for performance led, content driven SEO. The candidate should have the drive to push client’s rankings and content creation further that they had previously thought possible. The candidate will be responsible for two direct reports along with a team of outsourced resources.

About You:

+ Previous SEO experience in an number of different agency environments is critical to ensuring broad client servicing experience is demonstrable in the agency role (essential)
+ Experience with creating and delivering SEO strategies in multiple markets globally
+ Experience of creating and delivering a pure white hat SEO strategy for clients the Digital PR and content ideation / strategies
+ Managing and structuring work for teams and individuals in house and externally
+ Comfortable communicating with board / c – suite level business stakeholders
+ Ability to think strategically with experience of current effective SEO and content marketing techniques
+ Must have a demonstrable knowledge of Google Data Studio, Google Search Console and SEM rush from a marketing automation perspective?
+ Ability to manage own workload to ensure that individual, team and company targets are achieved
+ Have a good understanding of Google’s ever changing landscape, and your own voice on how these changes impact
+ Be confident in writing about SEO for external facing content on behalf of the business would be an advantage
+ Be able to demonstrate a good working knowledge of Social media SEO optimisation along with Pinterest and Youtube organic strategies, plus how to leverage Google suite of product SERP features for the benefit of SEO.
+ An understanding of the broader metrics of online marketing and eCom
+ Ability to work in a team environment and support/develop colleagues
+ Ability to communicate and work with various departments effectively
+ Proficient with Microsoft Excel (and all SEO tools and packages)

+ Educated to degree level (preferred)
+ Knowledge of HTML/xHTML (W3C), CSS and JavaScript (preferred)
+ Knowledge of schema.org mark up (preferred)
