Bipolar UK has a growing eCommunity of 9,600 members, and we are seeking a passionate individual to continue to develop this service along with our other digital channels. The role will support the development of our digital service strategy and oversee safe moderation of all platforms.

Our chatbot provides immediate answers to simple questions about bipolar to over 1,000 people a month. This is backed up by our peer support telephone and email Call Back Service where users can book a call or email a person to get more detailed and nuanced advice and guidance. We are hoping to expand this service by training volunteers with lived experience to field calls and respond to emails.

The Digital Senior Peer Support Officer role will work with Bipolar UK’s Peer Support Services team and Business Development Manager and lead on our digital services. Our online eCommunity currently has over 9600 members and our chatbot routinely supports over 1000 enquiries monthly. This role will also work closely with our Senior Communications Officer on our social media channels and maintain the self-management advice section on our website.

This is an exciting time to join Bipolar UK as we are a rapidly expanding charity with big plans to grow our income and impact over the next five years. We are looking for an ambitious and talented individual who will maximise the opportunities presented by the Bipolar Commission and key strategic relationships. This will involve reopening and growing our network of in-person Peer Support groups, maximising the impact of our expanding digital resources and generating income and support from key partnerships and major donors.
