About the role

They are now recruiting for an Independent Domestic Violence Advisor to work with all victims of domestic abuse referred by Multi Agency Risk Assessment Conference process (MARAC), assessed as being high risk or very high risk and coordinate a multi-agency response that aims to reduce and manage risk.

 

You will work in partnership with the police and others to establish and refine procedures for referral to IDVA to MARAC. You will maintain focus on managing and reducing risk to victims and their families.

 

You must be able to manage caseloads and prioritise cases according to the level of risk and also maintain and update records.

 

Please note that if you are successful in this role, our client will require a DBS check to be completed. Further details will be sent following offer.

 

About you

It is essential that you are able to demonstrate a working knowledge of the effects of domestic abuse on victims and children and form supportive, professional relationships with customers and enable individuals to identify and pursue their Goals.

 

You must have strong written and verbal communication and IT skills including Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.

 

It is essential that you have a full clean driving licence with access to your own vehicle.
