Wellbeing Coach
Location: Across schools in the London Borough of Southwark as required and Peckham
Contract: 12 months Fixed Term
Salary: £28,000 pa
Hours: 37.5 hours per week for full time posts

Our client is a community charity with a green heart that has been at the forefront of social and environmental regeneration in London for over 20 years. Each year they deliver hundreds of innovative environmental and social action projects across the capital. Their projects change places and lives for the better in some of London’s most deprived and disadvantaged neighbourhoods. This includes working with communities to make their neighbourhoods greener and more resilient to climate change, supporting long-term unemployed individuals to find work, helping young people get back into education and training, and advising residents how to save money on their energy and water needs.

You will work at their mental wellbeing support service for young people aged 11 – 25 living in the London Borough of Southwark. Since launching as a remote service in the May of 2020, right in the middle of the Covid-19 Pandemic, the service has gone from strength to strength and they are looking for passionate, experienced, skilled and driven individuals to join the team to support them as they get ready to increase its mental health provision for schools.

The Wellbeing Coach will be a qualified therapist and have knowledge and experience of delivering evidence based interventions in 1:2:1 and group settings, as well as an understanding of the barriers and challenges that children, young people and their families can face when seeking mental wellbeing support. You will have to have the ability to engage and work with a range of young people with multiple support needs.

Most important of all will be your approach: this is an exciting, fast paced and ever growing service at the forefront of early intervention mental health support for young people in Southwark, so they are looking for people with the ambition and commitment to match their own.
