About Us

Tower Hamlets Education Business Partnership is a leading East London-based charity that bridges the gap between education and the world of work.

For almost 30 years, we have worked in partnership with schools and businesses to provide fair and equal opportunities that enable young people to broaden their horizons and help them achieve their aspirations.

COVID-19 has had a significant impact on young people’s learning and employability prospects – for many, the future does not feel bright. Now more than ever, it’s vital that we give young people the support they need to learn more, do more and become more.

We are currently looking for a Corporate Partnerships and Trusts Fundraiser to join us on a 12 month contract, with the potential to be extended. This role is available on either a full or part-time basis working a minimum of 25 hours per week.

The Benefits

- Salary of c£38,000 - £40,000 per annum dependant on skills and experience

- 25 days’ holiday (pro rata) plus Christmas shutdown and Bank Holidays

- Great office location

- Friendly and inclusive environment

- Early finish on Fridays

If you have experience working in charitable income generation, this is the perfect opportunity to join our organisation and help us address inequality and improve social mobility for young people.

It’s an exciting time to join us as we prepare to celebrate our 30th anniversary and you will play an integral role in helping to secure the future of our charity into its next decade.

Our vision is for all young people to learn more, do more and become more as we believe that educated communities will become thriving communities. If you want to help us achieve our vision, this is the role for you.

The Role

As a Corporate Partnerships and Trusts Fundraiser, you will be responsible for generating leads with new corporate contacts and increasing our revenue.

Working collaboratively with the Deputy Director, you will generate new leads and convert them into long-term annual corporate partnerships. You will help develop new strategies and tools to increase supporter conversion, engagement and retention. You will also assist with generating additional income from trusts and grants applications.

You will seek to establish corporate partnerships in under-represented industry sectors including media, tech, digital, hospitality, medical and construction and/or housing sectors.

In addition, to mark our 30th anniversary, you will create an effective donations campaign which can be shared with all our stakeholders to secure longer-term core funding.

- At least three or more years’ experience working in charitable income generation

- A strong history of converting new leads to actual sales, with income generation from multiple sources over regular intervals of time

- The ability to generate leads from scratch and liaise with industries you have never worked in before

- Strong project management, interpersonal, planning, negotiating and organising skills

- To be comfortable with customer relationship management systems and digital fundraising tools

- The ability to find innovative ways to engage with potential partners

- An understanding of Corporate Social Responsibility and why volunteering is a key output for businesses

- Confidence talking to people at all levels of seniority

- Experience of Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint

Ideally, you will be familiar with the education sector and have knowledge of business education activity or have a specific interest in it.
