The Leprosy Mission is the world’s largest leprosy-focused organisation, a pioneer in our field, with more than 140 years’ experience serving people affected by this disease. As a leading international Christian development charity, we work in 10 countries across Africa and Asia to defeat leprosy and transform lives.

The digital landscape has changed and grown dramatically over the last 18 months, and this is an exciting time to join our growing fundraising team as we seek to reach new audiences, innovate digitally and tell engaging stories about the people we support. You will be working with fun, lively and supportive colleagues who are passionate about ending leprosy.

Today, one person every two minutes is diagnosed with leprosy. It’s a disease of poverty, affecting those who are already marginalised and vulnerable. Left untreated, it causes permanent disability. Stigma means that people affected by leprosy are often rejected by those closest to them and are discriminated against in education and the workplace. As part of our team, you would be playing your part in helping to end this.

We have a culture of growing and learning together, providing extensive training in fundraising and international development. You’ll also have exciting opportunities to visit projects overseas. Working with the Digital Innovation Manager and Creative Content Producer, you will have experience of working on digital marketing campaigns. We’re looking for a creative person with plenty of ideas and excellent copywriting skills. You will have experience of working with website content management systems, social media and Canva. If you’ve worked in digital fundraising, marketing or communications, we’d love to hear from you!

We are an explicitly Christian charity and part of your role is to communicate about our work to a variety of audiences including churches. Empathy with our ethos is essential.

We have a zero-tolerance policy towards any abuse, neglect and exploitation of all people. Successful candidates are expected to understand, sign and comply with all organisational policies, including our Code of Conduct and the Safeguarding Children & Vulnerable Adults Policy. Recruitment will include criminal record checks and the collection of relevant references. A criminal record will not necessarily bar you from joining us as an employee; this will depend on the circumstances of any offences. In addition, the successful candidate will be required to undertake a work health assessment questionnaire.

We are committed to diversity and welcomes applications from appropriately qualified people from all sections of the community.

To apply, and for more information on our Digital Fundraising & Marketing Officer role together with the work of TLMEW, please visit our website via the apply button.
