Data and Insights Manager / Data Analysis Manager / Analyst
Newark and/or home-based
Full time – 35 hours per week
Our client is looking for a brilliant data analyst with a background in marketing and audience insights, who will help them deliver outstanding impact for nature and people.
Who they are
Our client is working to bring wildlife back to their land and seas and make nature a part of life, for everyone. They are determined to reconnect people everywhere to the natural world and empower people to take action for nature’s recovery.
Our client is a federated movement of 46 charities, supported by a central charity. Together, they have 870,000 members, 38,000 volunteers and 2,800 staff across the UK. They are at an exciting moment in their 100-year history, with the development of an ambitious new strategy, setting out a vision of nature in recovery, with abundant, diverse wildlife and natural processes creating wilder landscapes where people and nature thrive.
The next 10 years will be critical in determining what kind of world we will all live in. We need to urgently reverse the loss of wildlife and put nature into recovery at scale if we are to prevent climate and ecological disaster. This will require big, bold changes in the way our client works and how they mobilise others to take action, and it will require an increase in the scale and diversity of funding available for nature’s recovery.
As part of an exciting and evolving Marketing and Development team, the Data and Insights Manager will play an important role in enabling our client to grow public support for nature’s recovery through marketing, campaigning and fundraising activities which are informed by evidence and best practice.
You will be a self-motivated analytical thinker with an outward-looking approach, who can bring relevant external insights, trends and developments to your analysis of internal data. You will be comfortable working under pressure and managing multiple priorities, and able to work quickly and accurately.
You will be experienced in analysing quantitative and qualitative audience insights and marketing data. This will be crucial in developing our understanding of our current and target audiences, to inform how they can increase the number of people taking action for nature. You will be able to use your experience and creativity to suggest improvements to our client’s processes.
You will have strong interpersonal skills and will be an excellent communicator, able to produce high-quality reports and deliver engaging presentations to share data and inspire action. This will be key to supporting improvements in marketing, campaigning and fundraising across the movement.
In this role you will build strong relationships across different teams, ensuring they make the best use of audience insights, fundraising and impact data across all their activities.
Our client wants their people to be as diverse as nature, so they particularly encourage applications from people who are underrepresented within their sector, including people from minority backgrounds and people with disabilities. They are committed to creating a movement that recognises and truly values individual differences and identities.
As a Disability Confident employer, they are committed to offering an interview to anyone with a disability that meets all the essential criteria for the post.
Closing date for applications: 29 August 2021
First interview: 14 September 2021
