Are you interested in managing events both online and face-to-face? Do you enjoy working and collaborating with a range of stakeholders to ensure an event is successful? Are you flexible and resourceful?

If this sounds like you, take your next step with us.

We are the Institution of Structural Engineers. The world’s largest membership body dedicated to the art and science of structural engineering.

The Role

As an Events Executive, you will plan, manage and deliver a varied training and events programme to meet the continuing professional development (CPD) needs of structural engineers and other built environment professionals. This will consist of digital and face-to-face events and include conferences, lectures, webinars, courses, receptions, dinners and corporate events.

This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in the planning and delivery of the Structural Awards, the Institution’s flagship awards programme, as well as other key projects. You will be responsible for delegate management, taking responsibility for the online booking process, communications, registration, stakeholder management and support on the day.

You will be part of a team of five reporting to the Head of Training and Events. You should feel comfortable communicating with employees across the Institution, industry professionals and third-party suppliers.

To be shortlisted for this post, you must have:

- Experience leading, managing and delivering events for face-to-face and digital delivery

- Experience developing content for face-to-face or digital delivery

- Excellent interpersonal skills

- Experience editing and repurposing highly technical content into effective marketing copy

- Excellent written and oral communication skills

- Sound judgement and problem-solving skills

What we can offer you:

A 35-hour working week with flexi time, plus first-class benefits. Based on the edge of the city, our office is bright, modern and open plan.
