About the Roundhouse

A lot of people know the Roundhouse for our incredible history but our future is just as exciting. Our home is a unique heritage building that has a rich history built on counter-culture, revolutionary theatre and life-changing music moments. But we’re building on that legacy and independent venue spirit. The Roundhouse Studios - a creative space for young people - is a home for young Londoners where the next generation of creatives are using their talent and their voice to change the world around them.

About You

We welcome applications from people who feel they can bring their own experiences and ideas to the table and empower those around them to do the same.

The Role

The Roundhouse is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Producer to lead on the work of Transmission Roundhouse; a socially engaged audio and lifestyle platform that champions the voices of under-represented young people.

You will have outstanding project and people management skills as well as excellent audio production skills and understanding of the current trends in podcasting. You’ll have experience of how to inspire and motivate teams as well as work collaboratively with other internal and external stakeholders so we can continue delivering award-winning podcasts and supporting content that you can’t find anywhere else.

By giving young people aged 11-30 the chance to engage with the arts and creative industries, we inspire them to reach further, dream bigger and achieve more.

The successful candidate must have a current and acceptable DBS check, or be willing to undertake one, due to the nature of the role.

Company

From modest Victorian beginnings – beginning life in 1846 as a steam-engine repair shed – to legendary cultural venue, the Roundhouse has an enviable heritage. The Grade II* listed building is now home to a bold and exciting programme of live music, theatre, dance, circus, installations and new media.

Young people are at the heart of everything we do. They're on our board and help plan and perform at our events. We offer a year-round schedule of creative projects for 11–25 year olds in 24 state-of-the-art studios, where facilities include TV, radio and music production, media suites and rehearsal rooms for music and performance.

It's the interaction between artists on stage and 11–25s that makes the Roundhouse unique.
Young people have interviewed Paul McCartney for Roundhouse Radio, filmed a documentary on NoFit State circus, and worked with Apple to deliver live streaming of events.

The Roundhouse employs about 105 permanent staff in a wide range of roles to help raise the £3m we need each year towards our artistic programme and work with young people.
