Digital Fundraising and Communications Officer

We have a fantastic opening for an experienced Digital Fundraiser & Communications Officer to join a small and friendly charity based on Dartington Hall Estate near Totnes

Position: Digital Fundraising and Communications Officer

Location: Dartington Head Office (to include some home working).

Contract: Permanent, Full-time 37.5 hrs per week

Salary: £24471.26-£27973.93 per annum

About the role:

As Digital Fundraising and Communications Officer you will take responsibility for the development and delivery of strong and innovative digital and traditional marketing strategies, using SEO, PPC, and other techniques to drive traffic to the website, grow brand awareness and generate interest in the charity’s services.

You will support with the development of and take responsibility for the delivery of digital fundraising to maximise fundraising income, as well as supporting the creation of digital marketing assets including case studies, photography and video content.

This exciting new role will be instrumental in making sure the charity is front of mind in the community and provide innovative digital methods for people to support their work. About you:

We are looking for someone with the right expertise, values, motivation to help raise significant funds and the charity’s profile, enabling them to become a recognisable name that extends their reach to beneficiaries, supporters and professionals in the field.

You will bring with you the following skills and experience:


  • Experience of working in a role that includes Digital Communications, Digital Fundraising or ideally both.
  • Experience of executing engaging fundraising or marketing campaigns or activities across a number of channels.
  • A proven track record of income generation.
  • IT literate, proficient in all Microsoft packages including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • A strong understanding of digital systems such as Google Ads and Analytics, SEO and how to use these to optimise web traffic.
  • Experience of maximising social media accounts and WordPress websites with engaging content.
  • A proven ability to measure, interpret and evaluate campaign results.
  • First-class writing, editing and proof-reading skills, with the ability to make complex information engaging and accessible.
