Consultant Trainer

We are looking for consultant trainers to deliver vital specialist support to schools and practitioners looking to apply the six principles of nurture in education.

The charity has been working with schools for many years, to improve the mental health and wellbeing of children and young people by removing barriers to learning by promoting nurture in education

Position: Consultant Trainer

Location: Flexible as homeworking supported - office working available in London or Paisley

Salary: Up to 35k, depending on experience

Hours: Full-time

Duration: 3 Year Fixed Term Contract

Benefits: 25 days’ annual leave plus bank holidays and 5% Employer pension contribution

Closing Date: 13th August

About the Role

The role of Consultant Trainer will involve working closely with colleagues in the operations and business development teams and is a great opportunity to help to deliver a portfolio of education products and services. By delivering, developing and promoting the highly regarded programmes and products, you will be making a vital contribution to achieving the charity’s mission of improving the mental health and wellbeing of children and young people and promoting nurture in education.

You will be responsible for delivering sessions and specialist support to schools and practitioners, including:

 

  • Practical support as part of contracts with schools and other organisations
  • Delivering the open and closed training set course programme, including webinars.
  • The National Nurturing Schools Programme - training sessions, consultancy and assessment
  • Consultancy services for schools
  • Networking events for schools and partner organisations

 

About You

As Consultant Trainer you will have previous In-depth experience of training for teachers or within an education setting

Essential skills and experience include:

 

  • Experience of working with schools or practitioners in a role that involves advice or improving practice
  • Practical experience of nurturing approaches to education
  • Outstanding training skills, with strong delivery, customer and quality focus
  • Ability to work effectively as a consultant in schools
  • Understanding of school improvement
  • The ability to model nurture practice
  • Good awareness of safeguarding procedures and data protection
  • Proficient technical and ICT skills to run sessions using video conferencing and meeting tools

 

Ideally you will also have an appreciation and understanding of the impact of mental health, emotional and wellbeing upon children and young people learning, as well as experience of working with digital and online products.
