Nottingham Hospitals Charity is one of the leading regional health-focused charities helping to enhance Nottingham’s NHS services and engaging annually with thousands of supporters, fundraisers, staff and corporate stakeholders.

We are looking for a Head of Marketing & Communications for an interim maternity leave cover, for a period of 12 months.

This is an exciting time to join the Charity, and in this role you will be responsible for developing and implementing Nottingham Hospital Charity’s marketing communications and digital content strategy as part of our new post-COVID Development Strategy.

We are looking for a natural and enthusiastic leader, who will have responsibility for leading and working with a high-performing team to deliver a work programme that includes developing and delivering a multi-channel communications strategy, building new communities and providing greater fundraising engagement.

Company

Who we are

Nottingham Hospitals Charity exists to support Nottingham’s four NHS hospitals - including Queen’s Medical Centre, City Hospital, Ropewalk House and the Nottingham Children’s Hospital.

We work with amazing fundraisers, volunteers, patients, businesses, NHS staff and other local communities, all to make hospital care in Nottingham the best it can be.

What we do

Last year, we raised over £4 million, to help fund life-saving equipment, staff development, medical research and enhanced facilities.

We are here if you would like to say ‘thank you’ to our incredible NHS workers, whether they have cared for you as a patient, looked after a loved one or have inspired you in your local community.

Your donations are used in projects where they really matter.

Why we exist

In our 15 year history, your support has funded all kinds of improvements in areas such as:

  • New facilities, family-friendly wards and comfortable environments for visitors.
  • The latest specialist equipment, such as state-of-the-art ultrasound scanners.
  • Medical research for a variety of conditions such as breast cancer, dementia and osteoarthritis.
  • Funding innovative staff leadership and development programmes that help hospital staff provide the best possible care.

With your help, we can show our thanks for their hard work and dedication in keeping us safe.
