<p><strong>Leeds Hospitals Charity</strong></p> <p>Leeds Hospitals Charity is proud to support Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. The Trust comprises seven hospitals and a dental institute, including Leeds General Infirmary, St James’s University Hospital, Leeds Children’s Hospital and Leeds Cancer Centre. We are passionate about healthcare and about making our hospitals amazing.</p> <p><strong>The Role</strong></p> <p>Reporting to the Director of Fundraising, the Head of Retail role will lead the delivery of the Charity’s Board approved ambitious retail strategy. This role will manage our growing team of Retail Managers ensuring that our retail offering stands out from other organisations. As well as driving the strategy the role will be responsible for the retail operational delivery across all sites, meeting retail sales and profitability targets and ensuring a consistently high level of customer service and donor experience.</p> <p><strong>The Person</strong></p> <p>We are looking for someone who:</p> <ul> <li>Has strategic and retail, business planning experience, preferably in charity retail.</li> <li>Has proven experience in senior retail management, with a track record of successfully managing a number of retail shops.</li> <li>Can demonstrate the ability to implement and inspire excellent standards of customer service in the retail environment.</li> <li>Can lead by example and has demonstrable experience of leading, motivating and developing staff and volunteers.</li> <li>Has a significant track record in driving sales income and net profit and controlling costs.</li> <li>Can demonstrate their ability to effectively implement Gift Aid systems.</li> </ul> <p>You will:</p> <ul> <li>Have an up to date knowledge of all aspects of a retail business, practices, trends and legislation.</li> <li>Be passionate about providing an excellent customer experience.</li> <li>Be people focussed with a desire to provide strong leadership and develop high performing teams.&nbsp;</li> <li>Be flexible, able to deal with and address issues arising in store on weekends.</li> <li>Have a positive, can do attitude with the ability to be “hands on” when needed.</li> <li>Hold a full UK driving license.</li> </ul> <p>To apply for this position, please send a copy of your up-to-date CV with a covering letter.</p> <p>Closing date for application is Monday 2<sup>nd</sup> August 2021.</p> <p>Due to the high volume of applications we receive we are unable to provide feedback at the shortlisting stage.
