Job Details

The Academy is seeking a Development Assistant to play a vital role supporting the Development team as we build up towards launching our 50th anniversary fundraising campaign.

The Royal Academy of Engineering is harnessing the power of engineering to build a sustainable society and an inclusive economy that works for everyone. In collaboration with our Fellows and partners, we’re growing talent and developing skills for the future, driving innovation and building global partnerships, and influencing policy and engaging the public.

Together we’re working to tackle the greatest challenges of our age.

The Development team works to raise vital income for the Academy from individuals, trusts and foundations and corporates to support projects tackling key societal issues such as sustainability and underrepresentation. As Development Assistant, you will have wide-ranging responsibilities as you work across all areas of the Development team providing administration support, such as:

  • gift processing and thanking,
  • event planning and logistics,
  • producing creative designs (eg leaflets, appeals, proposals and presentations).

A confident self-starter, you will have strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with a passion for fundraising.

In return, we offer an unrivalled package of benefits including a non-contributory pension scheme, BUPA cash plan, private medical insurance, subsidised restaurant, regular social activities, health and wellbeing programmes and the possibility of flexible working, as well as significant investment into your personal and professional development. We are currently working from home, but our airy, stylish offices are in a prestigious central London location, opposite St. James's Park.

If you’re a driven individual who would like to join a small, friendly, hardworking and ambitious team, we would love to hear from you.

To find out more and to apply, please visit our website via the apply button.

Closing date: 4.00pm on 25 July 2021.

Interviews are scheduled to take place week commencing 2 August 2021 and will be by MS Teams or Zoom.
