About the Role

The Head of Operations is responsible for overseeing core functions and must be forward-looking and committed to driving a strategy of continuous improvements in these areas. To do this, you will be required to build and maintain collaborative and effective relationships with external support providers and, crucially, with other managers and colleagues across the organisation.

With support from Senior Leadership and Senior Management colleagues, the Head of Operations will also hold responsibility for driving and maintaining compliance in a number of areas including Information Security, Health and Safety, Quality Management, Environmental Management and Business Continuity to ensure all legal and contractual obligations are met and that requirements are effectively communicated to the wider organisation.

This work has never been more important.

Despite the pandemic during the last twelve months, the charity has seen a continuation of vulnerable individuals caught up in a wide range of exploitative situations including young people forced to run and sell drugs, men and women forced to work for little or no pay, and girls, boys, women and men being sexually exploited.

About You

As Head of Operations, you will be an important contributor to the Senior Management Team and will undertake cross-organisational work to support and ensure service delivery teams can operate effectively and efficiently, whilst striving for continual improvement, quality and compliance in areas such as HR, Health & Safety, IT and Information Security, Administration and or-generational policies and protocols.

You will:

  • Have experience of managing, maintaining and improving a variety of organisational operations, processes and functions including admin, HR, IT among others
  • Be competent in project management and able to balance both competing deadlines and the needs of both internal and external stakeholders.

Full and on-going training and supervision is provided. We are looking for someone to start as soon as possible (subject to satisfactory references and completion of induction).

This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced and ambitious organisation at a time of growth and re-organisation!
