We have an opportunity for a Team Manager to join the management team leading and developing the delivery of one of the newly commissioned Crisis Cove in Brent in partnership with CNWL NHS Foundation Trust
Position: Team Manager - Mental Health
Location: Brent
Hours: 39 hours per week
Contract: Permanent
Salary: £32,004 per year, rising to £32,760 per year after 1 year and successful probation

The Role
This is an incredible opportunity to be part of the management team leading and developing the delivery of one of the newly commissioned Crisis Cove in Brent & Harrow in partnership with CNWL NHS Foundation Trust.
You will be supported by the Service Manager in the running and strategic development of the Brent or Harrow’s Crisis Cove in line with the contractual requirements. The Cove have been designed to be a safe, warm, welcoming and recovery focused space for people in a mental health crisis who have been referred by CNWL Rapid Response Services, to deescalate their mental health crisis and safety plan for their future. You will work closely with the Service Manager to ensure that Recovery Workers and Peer Support works listen and support people to de-escalate their immediate situation, empowering them to develop self-management techniques, build their assets and advocate for their own wishes. Standard operating hours for the Cove are: 14:00 – 22:00, Monday - Sunday (rota dependent).
About You
As Team Manager you will have experience of managing services for people with mental health and complex needs along with experience of:
- Recruitment, induction, supervision, motivation, appraisal, training, discipline and grievance issues
- Performance monitoring and delivering consistently high service user standards
- Managing complex budgets
- Understanding of Mental Health Crisis Management and the delivery of services to meet their needs and aspirations including working with peer support workers
- Excellent knowledge of Community Care, Mental health, Health and Safety and welfare benefits legislation (including welfare reform)
- Understanding of working in partnership with statutory mental health services
- Knowledge of methods of assessing, formulating, implementing, recording, reviewing and monitoring service user support and assessment plans
- Able to use computer systems including case management systems to create accurate reports audit staff ability to use computer systems to record client data accurately and to a high standard
Demonstrable experience of managing services for people for people with mental health and complex needs is essential for this role.
