In 2019, the charity developed a bold new corporate strategy to rebuild more lives after stroke and make a bigger difference to people’s lives. To help deliver the strategy and make a real difference, we are looking to recruit talented people to a number of new roles. If you would like to support stroke survivors to rebuild their lives, we want to hear from you!

Position: High Value Officer

Contract: Permanent

Benefits: 25 days’ annual leave plus bank holidays (this will increase with service up to 30 days, full time equivalent) cashback and discount scheme, employee assistance programme, learning and development, pension scheme, Life Assurance, Eye Care vouchers, Long Service Award, Tax-free childcare, Health Cash Plan, Working Pattern Agreement, flexible working opportunities available.

Closing Date: 9 August 2021

Interview Date: 18 August 2021

The Role

Reporting to the Senior Case Creation Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring donors from each of the four teams within the High Value Engagement department (Philanthropy, Trusts & Grants, Bids & Tenders, and Corporate Partnerships) are provided with timely, accurate and compelling information which persuades them to support the charity’s work. You will be exposed to the entirety of the Association’s work and be the “go-to” person in terms of knowing where information is and how to access it with respect to the High Value Engagement department. Your work will help to ensure donors feel well stewarded and appreciated such that they go on to support us further in the future. You will also be deployed, as required and requested by the Senior Case Creation Manager, to any and all of the High Value Engagement Teams to support on specific projects.

About You

You will have experience of writing for external audiences and be comfortable and confident in working with staff at all levels of the organisation.

We are working to build a more diverse organisation: one where we recognise and promote everyone’s individuality with kindness, and where we harness the value and diversity that everyone brings to help deliver our goals. We encourage applications from anyone who wants to be part of that future. And in particular, we would encourage anyone with lived experience of stroke to apply.

You will be asked to submit your CV and a covering letter of no more than two pages demonstrating how you meet the person specification and what you bring to the role in terms of your skills and experience.

In return…

This is an exciting opportunity to work with stroke survivors and their families to support them following stroke and to raise stroke awareness in the local population. In return the charity offers a host of amazing benefits and flexible working options, with opportunities to progress your career.
