The Furniture Makers’ Company, the City of London livery company and charity for the furnishing industry, is looking for a dynamic fundraising and development executive to join the organisation at an incredibly exciting time in its history, as it looks to develop its regional fundraising network.
You will be the focal point for the charity’s fundraising activities and play an important role in the organisation’s regional growth strategy. You will be responsible for coordinating the activity of several volunteer-led committees across England and Wales, providing them with sufficient support, guidance and knowledge to enable them to generate regular, long-term income streams for the charity.
The successful candidate will relish working in a multifaceted environment and be able to develop and maintain effective relationships with a broad range of industry relevant stakeholders. Given the breadth of the role, you should have a proven ability to effectively prioritise a varied workload to ensure decisions are reached quickly and effectively.
Experience in working with a CRM system is essential, as is a good working knowledge of the legal and financial issues around fundraising (VAT, Gift Aid, etc).
This position would suit someone who is looking for their second role in fundraising and would like to gain confidence and expertise across a broad range of fundraising activities, including legacy and events-based fundraising.
