AMHT Wellbeing Service Worker

We are looking for an experienced mental health / wellbeing professional to work with people experiencing mental health or other social or lifestyle issues.

You will be working for a mental health charity, who make sure anyone with a mental health problem has somewhere to turn for advice and support; in total over 20,000 people in Oxfordshire access services each year.

Position: Wellbeing Service Worker

Location: North, West and South Oxfordshire

Salary: £21,748 per annum, pro rata (11-18 NJC Salary Scale)

Hours: 37 hours per week, Permanent

Closing Date: 1st August

Interview Date: 9th August

The key responsibilities of the Wellbeing Service Worker are to:

 

  • Provide Options Sessions
  • Deliver Educational and Coping Skills courses (Online and in person)
  • Facilitate Peer Support Sessions (Online and in person)

 

About you:

To be successful in the role of Wellbeing Service Worker you will be motivated, pro-active and supportive, with a strong commitment to person-centred work and service user involvement, you will also need to bring with you the following skills and experience:

 

  • Experience of working within mental health, wellbeing or similar services
  • Experience of supporting individuals with a focus on what matters to them and their recovery.
  • Experience of working in an often demanding environment and supporting people with complex needs
  • Experience of data collection and entry to enable the measuring of outcomes and service impact
  • Experience of working in partnership with staff from other agencies or organisations.
  • Effective team work skills with the ability to take initiative and work on an individual basis
  • Strong commitment to the involvement of service users in the shaping of service delivery
  • Excellent organisational, planning, administrative and IT skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills

 

As a member of the team you will need to be willing to work flexibly in response to changing organisational requirements and outside of normal office hours on occasion.
