Position: Head of Evaluation and Research

Location: London Bridge

Hours: Full time, 39 hours per week

Contract: Permanent

Salary: £50,520 per year, rising to £51,468 per year after 1 year and successful probation

The Role

As Head of Evaluation and Research, you will be part of the corporate management team and will report directly into the CEO, but will work with teams across the organisation, including the Better Lives Forum which is led by service users. The Head of Research and Evaluation will be required to work across different teams and report to a range of managers and peers to test the approaches needed to achieve impact and improved outcomes for beneficiaries.

The role will work particularly closely with Directors of Services, Director of Performance and Development and the Director of External Engagement.

This is a new role through which you can drive change to improve the lives of service users and support the charity to measure impact, continuously improve and design services to improve people's quality of life

You will lead and commission research and evaluations to best support people to recover from a crisis, whilst helping to amplify the user voice and experience in health, justice and social care.

About You

The Head of Evaluation and Research will hold a postgraduate-level qualification in a relevant discipline with demonstrable experience and/or knowledge of overseeing evidence based evaluations and action research and an understanding of systems level change and improvement.

You will have experience of:

 

  • Evaluating services and interventions, writing reports and briefings
  • Designing and developing data-driven solutions and quantitative data analysis techniques
  • Developing regular reporting and monitoring, including designing data definitions and use of automated reporting tools
  • Managing research or other projects including third party suppliers
  • Research design
  • Undertaking analysis of cost and outcome data alongside evaluations
  • Managing and engaging stakeholders
