The Role

Following an internal review, the Head of Events will embed processes that establish you as the internal expert on events, advising internal stakeholders on when and how best to use this channel to meet business objectives.

Working to briefs supplied by supporter, beneficiary and professional audience specialists, your team will deliver activity that meets a clear and insight-informed audience need.

About You

As Head of Events, you will have experience of using processes and systems to increase the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of event delivery, and of strategic evaluations of event products as part of a wider portfolio.

Most crucially, your leadership of the Events team will motivate, engage and enable the Events team to meet targets and drive effective team performance.

Please note that this is a home based role with a requirement to work in one of our Stroke Association hubs on an ad-hoc basis.

The charity is working to build a more diverse organisation. One where it recognises and promotes everyone’s individuality with kindness, and where it harnesses the value and diversity that everyone brings to help deliver its goals. We encourage applications from anyone who wants to be part of that future. And in particular, we would encourage anyone with lived experience of stroke to apply.

To fulfil the role, you must have the right to work in the U.K

You will be asked to submit your CV and a covering letter of no more than two pages demonstrating how you meet the person specification and what you bring to the role in terms of your skills and experience.

In return…

This is an exciting opportunity to work with stroke survivors and their families to support them following stroke and to raise stroke awareness in the local population. The charity offers a host of amazing benefits and flexible working options, with opportunities to progress your career.

About the Organisation

Rebuilding lives after stroke.

Everyone deserves to live the best life they can after stroke. And it’s a team effort to get there. The organisation provides specialist support, funds critical research and campaigns to make sure people affected by stroke get the very best care and support to rebuild their lives. Every five minutes, stroke destroys lives. Help us rebuild them and join the team.
