The National Lottery Community Fund is the largest funder of community activity in the UK. We award around 12,000 grants and distribute over £500m a year thanks to National Lottery players. As Chief Executive, you will lead and inspire the organisation, ensuring we are making the best use of all our resources, as the UK emerges from the pandemic. You will not only have the opportunity to make a difference now – but to work towards a future where no-one is left behind.

We are looking for an outstanding person with established leadership skills and a passion for people and communities, to lead the executive of the Fund during a period of transformation and improvement, whilst delivering support for communities throughout the UK during an exceptionally challenging time.

You will be an inspirational leader and a skilful navigator of networks – able to make the most of wide-ranging relationships and stakeholders, putting communities first in everything that you do.

You will build strong and lasting relationships with key stakeholders nationally across government, the civil service, the private sector, our communities, and wider civil society. Financially literate and with a strong awareness of the current socio-economic environment, candidates may come from a range of sectors but will be capable of operating at pace and scale in complex environments. Underpinning all of this, you will believe in the impact the Fund can play in society, and in our power to provide support to communities all across the United Kingdom through our funding.

Saxton Bampfylde Ltd is acting as an employment agency advisor to The National Lottery Community Fund on this appointment. For further information about the role, including details about how to apply, please visit www.saxbam.com/appointments using reference HAPALA. Alternatively, telephone +44 (0)20 7227 0880 (during office hours). Applications should be received by noon on Friday 13 August 2021.
