Job Details

Plan International UK is a global children’s charity. We strive to advance children’s rights and equality for girls all over the world.

Working together with children, young people, our supporters and partners, we're tackling the root causes of gender inequality and child poverty, and we are now active in more than 70 countries worldwide.

We are recruiting for the position of Senior Mid-Value Fundraising Officer to join the Individual Giving Unit within our Fundraising directorate. In this new exciting role you will lead on the strategy and management of the brand new Mid-Value programme for all existing sponsors, regular donors and ‘cash’ supporters. This has been identified in our new Fundraising Strategy as a priority area of focus, to maximise lifetime value and deliver a sector-leading supporter experience. The role will include:

  • Leading on developing, managing and executing the Mid Value supporter stewardship and appeal activity plan to supporters giving £500-£10,000 per year.
  • Delivering mass marketing communications and one-to-one stewardship of supporters through key channels such as direct mail, email and telephone.
  • Managing your own portfolio of active Mid-value donors, acting as their primary point of contact
  • Working collaboratively across the organisation to ensure best practice in supporter stewardship is followed and opportunities are maximised.

You will need experience of working in a fundraising/marketing environment, specifically direct marketing, and be able to demonstrate use of direct marketing techniques and of developing plans and strategies in order to generate loyalty and increase income. The successful candidate will be experienced at collaboration and be skilled at communicating both verbally and in writing with donors, suppliers and internal stakeholders.

For further detail of this role, please see the job profile. Please refer closely to the Person Specification section during your application, to demonstrate your suitability for the role.

The deadline for applications is 17.00 on 26 July 2021.

We are committed to the safeguarding and protection of children, young people and adults in our work.  We, therefore, apply rigorous recruitment and selection processes to ensure that only those who are suitable are recruited to work for us.  Accordingly, appointment to all our roles is subject to a range of vetting checks. A criminal record will not necessarily bar you from working for us; this will depend on the circumstances of any offences

Plan International UK is committed to being an inclusive employer and we welcome applications from candidates from all backgrounds
