The Role

Reporting to the Associate Director Knowledge and Insight, the Knowledge Management Lead will enable the Association to lead on the creation of knowledge sharing environments, cultures, tools and processes that enable the best use of explicit and tacit knowledge.

This is a new role for the organisation which reflects its increasing commitment to recognising the value of knowledge assets. The charity therefore anticipates the role evolving over time and for the successful candidate to develop and shape the role.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Ensure that the organisation has appropriate knowledge management frameworks and solutions that fit with our strategic ambitions and ways of working
  • Lead cross organisational projects to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of information capture, access, storage and sharing.

About You

You will have a proven record of:

  • Designing, developing and implementing successful knowledge management solutions based on a knowledge architecture to guide us as we start to build our new knowledge assets and processes to ensure efficiency and effectiveness

The charity is working to build a more diverse organisation. One where it recognises and promotes everyone’s individuality with kindness, and where it harnesses the value and diversity that everyone brings to help deliver its goals. We encourage applications from anyone who wants to be part of that future. And in particular, we would encourage anyone with lived experience of stroke to apply.

Please submit your CV and a covering letter of no more than two pages demonstrating how you meet the person specification and what you bring to the role in terms of your skills and experience. Please state any preferences for flexible options in your covering letter. Applications from individuals who are seeking flexible working options, including reduced hours or job shares are welcomed.

To fulfil the requirements of the role you must have the right to work in the U.K

In return…

This is an exciting opportunity to work with stroke survivors and their families to support them following stroke and to raise stroke awareness in the local population. The charity offers a host of amazing benefits and flexible working options, with opportunities to progress your career.
