Community Support Worker - Independent Living / Domiciliary Care

Location: Derbyshire Dales/Erewash (covering Ashbourne, Matlock, Little Eaton, Long Eaton, Draycott, Ilkston and Wirksworth)

Salary: £17,340 (pro rata) plus mileage and £175 for covering the Falls Recovery phone line Full and Part Time Opportunities available: 35 or 21 hours per week contracts available

Our client is looking for two people to join their Derbyshire based Independent Living Service team. You’ll be making sure customers are safe and well in their homes, as well as providing rotated response to people who have fallen in their homes. 

 

Job requirements:

  • Visit customers in their homes to carry out an initial holistic person-centred assessment, risk assessment and action plan
  • Deliver a bespoke package of housing related support
  • Signpost to other agencies and services
  • Respond to calls from the Falls Recovery Service and Crisis response phone line to help people up after a fall in their home - £175 for 7 days on call based on no call outs plus £30 per night if called out

 

What our client is looking for:

  • Someone who can problem solve and think quick on their feet, in this role you’ll face challenges, so you’ll need to be able to adapt
  • A friendly and approachable person that will make customers feel at ease and safe in their own home
  • The ability to work flexibly. Our client’s Falls Recovery and Crisis phone lines operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and cover of the rota is split amongst the team
  • Someone with a full UK driving licence
  • Enhanced DBS check
