Corporate and Community Fundraiser

We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate and proactive Fundraiser to join the organising specialising in either Community or Corporate fundraising.

Position: Fundraiser (Community, Corporate, Regular Giving)

Location: Home based initially. After lockdown there will be some home working and some time in the office at Osney Mead in Oxford. Frequent travel within Oxfordshire will be required and some national travel.

Salary: £23,541 - £32,234 depending on skills and experience. NJC scale 15 – 28

Hours: Full Time or Part Time (flexible working options available)

Closing Date: 7th July

Interview Date: 13th and 14th July

About the role:

You will work as either a Corporate or Community Fundraiser, depending on your overall skills and experience.

As Corporate Fundraiser you will build on existing networking and partnership and proactively identify and pitch to companies in Oxfordshire and Berkshire to set up long term corporate partnerships as well as annual Charity of the Year support. You will identify retail and sponsorship opportunities and other income generating events. As Community Fundraiser you will build on the success of the Community Fundraising Team, sitting alongside the current Community Fundraisers to support and expand community fundraising activities. You will be working directly with a range of initiatives including individuals, events, legacy, regular giving, fundraising groups and retail opportunities.

 

About you:

As you may work in either area of fundraising, the below criteria is a guide spanning both areas, as applicants with experience in one or more of the different areas of fundraising and/or transferable skills will be considered. Please include what experience you have, including transferable skills and relevant voluntary work.

You will have relevant experience and skills including:

 

  • The ability to act as an effective representative for the organisation
  • Experience in fundraising or similar roles involving relationship building
  • A good track record of securing funding for a charitable organisation
  • Experience of delivering income generation against targets
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience of setting up new initiatives with excellent results
  • Strong relationship building skills including networking, rapport building, understanding and tailoring your approach to different audiences
  • IT skills, including use of Microsoft 365 suite and CRM systems
  • Ability to work independently seeking advice and support when appropriate
