Support Worker (Resettlement / Independent Living / Supported Accommodation)

Salary: £25,462 per annum

Location: Croydon 

Contract: Fixed Term until June 2023

Hours: 1 @ 37.5 per week Monday - Friday

1 @ 15 hours per week Monday – Friday

 

Closing date: 11th July 2021

 

Aim of the role:

To identify appropriate move on routes for all customers and provide practical support and guidance to help customers move on positively from the service. These roles are a key part of their Resettlement Team with 4 colleagues providing this important service to their customers in Croydon.

About the Role

This highly rewarding role requires you to support their customers in finding suitable move on accommodation from supported accommodation in their Croydon services – the majority of which are in the town centre and accessible on foot. Please see the full role profile for further information.

 

About You

As well as having experience of supporting vulnerable people to achieve independent living, you must have a clear understanding of why people become homeless, and the needs and challenges they face.

 

You will be required to take on a caseload of customers, with responsibility to promote a variety of move on options in a variety of methods to customers including one to one contact, work shop sessions or drop-ins.

 

You will be part of a dedicated and supportive team, and so will need to demonstrate a positive and inclusive approach. You must be able to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing, and be competent in the use of Microsoft Office applications.
