Events Fundraising Manager

Woking, Surrey

If you have extensive experience of working in an events fundraising environment we can offer you an amazing opportunity to use your expertise to save our planet by creating a world where people and wildlife can thrive together. We are now looking for an Events Fundraising Manager to help attract, engage and inspire members of the public to join us and financially support our work.

This an exciting time to join the world's leading independent conservation organisation. We are rapidly growing the fundraising team and have ambitious plans to generate significant income growth through incredible events. You will play a key role in helping achieve this goal.

As Events Fundraising Manager, you will manage our third-party challenge events portfolio. You will work on all elements of the event cycle, from marketing and recruitment, through to stewarding participants and leading on the day event delivery.  You will also build and maintain relationships with a range of internal and external contacts, to help us grow our offering and will proactively identify opportunities for growth and development. Important will be the ability to ensure fundraising activities are of the highest standards and provide donors with the best possible experience, whilst maximising income for our work.

Day-to-day, you will research products provided by other charities, develop insight to improve our offering, carry out supporter testing and gather ongoing feedback. You will oversee recruitment campaigns for events fundraising and ensure all communications are developed in line with brand strategy and guidelines too.

You must have experience working in an events fundraising environment and stewarding supporters as well as excellent relationship building skills. You will be used to recruiting, managing and working with volunteers to deliver organisational objectives too. Able to oversee multiple projects, you will be comfortable managing budgets and controlling costs.

Highly organised, you will be effective at prioritising and meeting deadlines. PC literate, you will be a good communicator able to influence others too.

If you have the expertise and passion needed to build a movement for nature, we would love to hear from you. Please visit our website via the link and submit a copy of your up to date CV and the Supporting Statement to highlight what makes you a good fit for us.

Every role at WWF is open to applications from all sections of society. We believe in the potential of everyone regardless of; sex, race, religion or belief, ethnic origin, different physical ability, family structure, socio-economics, age, nationality or citizenship, marital, domestic or civil partnership, sexual orientation, gender identity, or any other aspect that makes you, well you.  Here at WWF we’re committed to conscious inclusion that helps cultivate an ethos of belonging, connection and shared purpose.  We believe that the more diverse we are the better we become; this brings us together and empowers us to develop, engage and inspire; and critically to help build a future where people can live in harmony with nature.

Our policies and benefits reflect the importance of people being able to have a good work-life balance and being able to bring their ‘full self’ to work.

Our world needs you like never before. We are the first generation to know we are destroying the world and we could be the last that can do anything about it. We’re looking for people who are passionate about making it politically, socially and economically unacceptable to destroy our planet’s natural resources. We need you to join us in the fight for our world.
