This charity ensures that people living with MS are at the centre of everything they do. And it’s this commitment that unites them across the UK.

Their work is based on the hopes and aspirations of the MS community. Together they campaign at all levels, fund ground-breaking research and provide award winning support and information.

Their people are their greatest asset and the key to their success. They offer a vibrant, progressive environment where you will make a difference.

About this job

The charity is looking for an experienced and innovative digital and content professional to lead their Digital and Content Team.

In this exciting and high-profile role, you'll be responsible for driving forward an ambitious programme of work across their digital services, content delivery and information provision.

You’ll be accountable for all public facing digital tools and platforms, including their recently launched forum, their website and a range of social media and digital marketing channels.

You’ll also work across the sector on a number of collaborative projects aimed at improving the lives of people living with MS, including overseeing the launch of their new machine learning tool.

You’ll have significant experience of leading and implementing content and digital strategies, and of managing a large range of communication channels (across both digital and print). You’ll have worked on major integrated and multi-channel campaigns, and have a strong track record of generating high-quality content across a variety of channels and formats.

The charity has recently undergone a period of transformation, with significant investment in their programme management, UX, internal content provision and product design. As the head of team, they want you to build on this success, playing a crucial role in leading and overseeing the next phase of this work. This will include developing business cases for their website redesign, new digital services and products, and further iterating on their new and interactive logged-in offer.

Everyone’s MS is different, and as a champion for co-production, you will contribute towards a culture that uses data and insight to create increasingly tailored experiences for their community. You will be passionate about online accessibility and will support the organisation to deliver a fully inclusive digital experience.

You will be motivated by the latest emerging trends, and with a passion for collaborative working, you’ll always be looking for ways to empower and motivate your team of creative digital and content specialists.

You are an excellent communicator, with strong experience of working with and influencing senior stakeholders and suppliers, and extensive experience of financial and budget management. As a key member of the Digital and Services management team, you will also contribute significantly to the leadership, planning and policy formation of the department as a whole.

This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a supportive and vibrant team, who are dedicated to making a difference for people with MS. They are in the midst of an exciting, transformational period which builds on their great history and will drive them towards achieving their mission and vision as they embark on their new 5 year strategy.

As part of this exciting transformation, they will be moving from their current National Centre based in Cricklewood to Finsbury Park. They are expecting this move to take place from August 2021.

The organisation offers 35 days annual leave (including bank holidays), travel loan and various other benefits such as supported developmental opportunities.

Closing date: 9am on Thursday 8 July
Interview date: 20 and 21 July 2021
