Salary Band: £38,000 - £49,700
Contract: Permanent
Hours: Full time (35 hpw)
Location: Woodstock, Oxfordshire

Our client is a national charity and has been the leading expert in rural community business for over 100 years.  Community businesses are enterprises that are owned and run democratically by members of the community and others, on behalf of the community. They come in many forms - including shops, pubs, woodlands and anything which lends itself to community ownership. In addition to developing and safeguarding valuable assets and services, community businesses address a range of issues including isolation, loneliness, wellbeing, work and training.

With more communities than ever contacting our client to access their advice and support services, they are excited to promote the opportunity to join their organisation as the new Head of Finance (HoF). This full-time position offers the right candidate an opportunity to join the Senior Management Team and ensure the strategic management of the charity’s finances.

The HoF will be responsible for the day to day and strategic management of the charity’s finance functions providing advice to the CEO and the Board. Reporting to the CEO you should be a qualified/near qualified CCAB accountant who is a team player with well-developed Emotional Intelligence. You will be able to handle confidential issues with tact and be able to resolve issues in a non-confrontational manner. A strong working knowledge of SAGE accounting systems is essential.

If you are interested in joining this charity, and growing the network of community-owned businesses UK-wide then they look forward to hearing from you.

Closing date for applications: 9am on Thursday 8 July
Interview date: Interviews will be held at the organisation’s offices in Woodstock on Thursday 15 July.
