Administration Assistant

We have an exciting opportunity for a Legacy Office Assistant to join the Legacy team. You will provide pro-active administrative support to the Legacy team to ensure that correspondence is dealt with expeditiously and that legacies are collected promptly.

Position: Legacy Office Assistant

Location: Based in Sidmouth, Devon – “an area of outstanding natural beauty”

Hours: Full-time 35 hours per week, Monday – Friday 08.30 – 16.30

Salary: £18,828 per annum

Contract: 6 months, fixed term contract, until December 2021

This increases by one day each year until a maximum of 34 days is reached.

The Role

As Legacy Office Assistant will be managing a caseload of pecuniary/specific legacies and residuary legacies with an Estate value below £100,000 and type all routine and other standard letters when required. You will create, update and maintain legacy records and you will be responsible for all Legacy Dept. filing, confidential shredding of archived files and the preparation of outgoing post.

About You

The successful candidate will demonstrate previous experience of working within a busy administrative role and a high level of accuracy and attention to detail

The ability to multi-task and excellent communication and IT skills are essential for this role as is a full driver’s licence.
