Help this charity to create a thriving network of rural community businesses across the UK.

Role: Project Manager
Salary Band: £28,000 - £39,342
Contract: Permanent
Hours: Full time (35 hpw)
Location: Woodstock, Oxfordshire

Our client is a national charity and has been the leading expert in rural community business for over 100 years. Community businesses are enterprises that are owned and run democratically by members of the community and others, on behalf of the community. They currently work with over 700 community businesses and this number is continually growing. They come in many forms - including shops, pubs, woodlands and anything which lends itself to community ownership. In addition to developing and safeguarding valuable assets and services, community businesses address a range of issues including isolation, loneliness, wellbeing, work and training.

With more communities than ever contacting this charity to access their advice and support services, they are excited to promote the opportunity to join as their new Project Manager. This full-time position offers the right candidate an opportunity to join the Charitable Foundation’s Community Business Team and play a key role in developing and supporting community businesses across the UK.

The Project Manager will be responsible for a range of projects that underpin frontline support services. The role will involve a lot of interaction with funders, partner organisations as well as the community representatives themselves. You will manage a support offer, allocating packages of advice and mentoring directly to groups and manage the project budgets accordingly.

Reporting to the Community Business Team Leader, the Project Manager should be a self-motivated person who is confident in managing a varied workload. The ideal candidate will have a passion for supporting community-led projects, and also be aware of the key issues affecting them. Experience of using a CRM system is essential because having access to accurate information supports the organisation’s communications output, helping them to reach even more communities UK-wide.

Training and support will be provided for the right candidate, however, previous experience of working on or managing project or programme delivery would be ideal.

If you are interested in joining this charity, and growing the network of community-owned businesses UK-wide then they look forward to hearing from you.

Closing date for applications: Midday on Monday 5 July
Interview date: Interviews will be held remotely during the week commencing 12 July 2021
