Fixed Term until end March 2023

This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in an early years home learning programme operating in Central London (Westminster and Kensington & Chelsea).

We are currently seeking an Assistant Coordinator to work with the ParentChild+ Area Coordinator to deliver ParentChild+ (formerly the Parent-Child Home Programme). You will manage and coordinate a team of Home Visitors and volunteers to deliver the early years home learning programme in your area.

ParentChild+ has been delivered in America for over 50 years, working one-to-one with families who face significant life challenges. The ParentChild+ model is based on twice-weekly home visits, for at least 46 weeks, by home visitors.  It addresses a range of outcomes for parents whose children are at risk of starting school below the expected level, by offering free books and toys and modelling how to create a rich home learning environment.

Please note: Currently home learning sessions are being delivered via Microsoft TEAMS and/or face to face in COVID secure settings

You will work closely with the relevant local providers to recruit families; you will then oversee the implementation and delivery of the intervention to families in your area. In your area, you will manage and support a team of Home Visitors/volunteers to deliver the home learning service to vulnerable and low-income families.

The successful candidate will have experience of managing a project. Experience and knowledge of early years education is required as is experience of supporting families and managing staff. You should have experience of building good relationships, have outstanding organisational skills, excellent written and verbal communication. Commitment to equality of opportunity is essential

The successful candidate is required to have degree in Early Years Education or Level 3 Early Years qualification or equivalent.
