Job Details
TPP's Leadership and Governance team are delighted to be partnering with an inspiring youth charity based in West London to support the search for their next Chief Executive. The charity - a cornerstone of the West London community - is a team of youth professionals that are committed to guiding young people aged 8-18 , often living in challenging circumstances, to find their confidence and learn new skills to fulfil their potential. The trusted staff deliver relevant and inspiring activities and vocational and personal development in a safe space through a wide range of activities including art & design, radio, music, judo, dance, cooking, sports, mentoring, excursions and much more.
This is an exciting time for the new Chief Executive to be joining the charity. Leading a stable and high performing team after a period of sustained growth, the key priorities for this role will be to continue work to ensure long-term financial stability for the charity, to optimise organisational processes and procedures, and to continue to use the charity's increasing profile to influence broader policy development at a regional level.
To be considered for this role, you will need a good understanding of the youth sector at a strategic level and above all, have a personal commitment to improving the lives of children and young people. With values-driven senior leadership experience and a demonstrable commitment to diversity and inclusivity, you will be collaborative, progressive, empathetic, and resilient. You will have supported the design and delivery of an organisational strategy at a senior level (either as a CEO or as a Director/Head of function), and you will be a first-class communicator - comfortable presenting to key partners, donors and to any other audiences that are relevant. It is not essential for you to have worked in the non-profit sector, although some experience of the sector is essential (e.g. as a trustee or volunteer). You will have commercial experience, a track record in income generation and partnership development, and ideally an understanding of the non-profit funding environment.
The closing date for this role is Wednesday 30th June. Initial interviews with TPP Recruitment will be complete by Thursday 8th July. Formal interviews with the charity will be held during w/c 19th July (1st stage) and w/c 26th July (2nd stage).
