This charity ensures that people living with MS are at the centre of everything they do. And it’s this commitment that unites them across the UK.

Their work is based on the hopes and aspirations of the MS community. Together they campaign at all levels, fund ground-breaking research and provide award winning support and information.

Their people are their greatest asset and the key to their success. They offer a vibrant, progressive environment where you will make a difference.

About this job

Our client is looking for a collaborative person to join their supportive and vibrant team, who are dedicated to making a difference for people with MS. This is a maternity cover for up to 12 months.

Bringing together colleagues and, when appropriate, external writers or members of the wider MS Community (people with and affected by MS, healthcare workers, policy professionals, benefits experts etc) you’ll manage the creation of content for the charity’s digital platform that directly reflects the interests and needs of their audience.

You’ll develop community content across the organisation’s digital channels, bringing the voices of their community to life across their website.

For across all their content collateral, including our appeals, proposals, campaigns and marketing, you’ll be developing the stories and case studies of people living with and affected by MS to be used and repurposed across their website.

They are looking for candidates with experience of:

  • writing sharp and engaging copies for websites and social media
  • using a content management system (CMS) to create and update web pages
  • interviewing and developing articles or features
  • and writing up case studies and stories for a desired outcome e.g. acquisition, reach, and engagement.

You’ll have excellent writing and proofreading skills with meticulous attention to detail, basic photography and image-editing skills and basic video editing, production and camera work skills.

You’ll be joining the charity at an exciting stage of their digital programme as they shape the way they engage with supporters.

They offer 35 days annual leave (including bank holidays), travel loan and various other benefits such as supported developmental opportunities.

The charity is in the midst of an exciting, transformational, period which builds on their great history and will drive them towards achieving their mission and vision as they embark on their new 5 year strategy.

As part of this exciting transformation, they will be moving from their current National Centre based in Cricklewood, London to Finsbury Park, London later this year. They are expecting to be moving into their new office from August 2021.

Closing date: 9am on Monday 21 June 2021
