Who we’re looking for
Our clients look to us as the experts when it comes to making mass events and campaigns work. So we’re looking for an ambitious and brilliant Director who can use their experience to guide, support and lead our strategy, insight and marketing team to ensure we are always delivering first class work for our clients.

Ideally with experience of working in marketing or fundraising and managing projects working on mass campaign or events, you’ll understand what underpins and drives the most successful events and campaigns.

As a fast growing business we’re looking for someone with the ambition and entrepreneurial approach to continue to drive growth, and as part of the senior management team shape and share in the future success of the agency.

The job

Heading up your own team you will collaborate with and manage our relationships with our clients, freelancers and agency partners. You will ensure our thinking is joined up and events and products are designed, developed and marketed based on a common audience understanding. You will be responsible for the delivery of quality work that meets the client’s needs and addresses the brief.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage and lead the team responsible for delivering all of Massive’s strategy, innovation, insight and marketing work.

  • Ensuring the work we do to design new products, develop existing ones, or evaluate performance to drive ongoing improvement, surpasses client expectations and delivers on our proposition as the experts in mass events and campaigns

  • Managing financial and overall performance of the team

  • Resource planning for the team and projects, including the management of freelance resource

  • Building great relationships with existing and potential clients so we feel part of their team.

  • Proactively identify opportunities for our existing clients to get more out of events and spotting new opportunities

  • Working with colleagues to devise approaches and responses to briefs

  • Leading and be part of pitch teams that win new business

  • Creating and managing project plans, budgets and timelines etc. and ensuring we deliver against them.

  • Collaborating across the business to support our flexible / flat project team structure and ensure we work as one team.

  • Briefing media, creative and platform delivery with relevant agencies and freelancers.

  • Attending meetings, workshops and sprint check ins and presenting our work to clients for approval or modification

  • Staying up to date with trends, innovations and ideas that can improve our offer to clients

  • Positively representing the whole team at Massive and all the work we do, sharing our thinking, work and views at events, webinars etc.

  • Working as part of the senior management team to support the development and delivery of the overall business and our growth plans.

You’ve got

  • A track record of successful management of marketing, innovation and strategic development of events or campaigns.

  • Proven experience of transforming performance and delivering growth of events or campaigns

  • Strong project and people management, leadership and influencing skills

  • The gravitas to hold and manage senior level relationships with clients and develop great relationships

  • A creative and innovative way of thinking, you are happy to challenge yourself and others to find new ideas and ways of working.

  • Great communication skills, you are able to present facts, opinions and proposals persuasively to colleagues and clients.

  • Ambition, you are always looking for new opportunities to grow our own and our client’s business.

  • A strategic, entrepreneurial, and ambitious mindset and above all else the ability to work collaboratively and in partnership with others
