Finance and Compliance Manager (Maternity Cover)

Salary £30,000 - £33,000 per annum (pro rata to contracted hours)

9 month contract 22.5 – 30 hours per week (flexible working options available)

Women@thewell is a women-only service in Kings Cross. We provide a creative and supportive space for women, whose lives are affected by street based prostitution, including women who have been trafficked or are otherwise at risk.

Many of the women we work with experience:

  • Rough sleeping or other problems with accommodation
  • Substance misuse issues
  • Mental health issues
  • Problems with the criminal justice system or the immigration system; or
  • Are victims of trafficking and modern slavery

We are a friendly team, with a focus on supporting women to exit from a life entangled in the sex trade.

We are seeking a finance officer to cover maternity leave of our current post holder. The role involves administration of the organisations finances, statutory reporting and ensuring compliance with legal requirements.

The successful candidate will be a flexible and self-motivated women able to work on their own initiative, with strong attention to detail and a good understanding of all aspects of financial management.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to gain experience in charity finance, to develop their skills or someone looking to return to the workplace after a period of absence. We are able to offer flexibility in working pattern and hours.
