Job Details

Plan International UK is a global children’s charity. We strive to advance children’s rights and equality for girls all over the world.

Working together with children, young people, our supporters and partners, we're tackling the root causes of gender inequality and child poverty, and we are now active in more than 70 countries worldwide.

We are recruiting for the position of Senior Mid-Value Fundraising Officer to join the Individual Giving Unit within our Fundraising directorate. In this new role you will lead on the strategy delivery and management of the Mid-Value programme for all existing sponsors, regular donors and ‘cash’ supporters within the programme. This has been identified in our new Fundraising Strategy as a priority area of focus, to maximise income and deliver a sector-leading supporter experience. The role will include:

  • Leading on developing, managing and executing the Mid Value supporter stewardship and appeal activity plan to supporters giving £500-£10,000 per year.
  • Delivering mass marketing communications and one-to-one stewardship of supporters through telephone, email and in-person events.
  • Managing your own portfolio of active Mid-value donors, acting as the primary point of contact for Mid-value supporters.
  • Working collaboratively across the organisation to ensure best practice in supporter stewardship is followed and opportunities are maximized.

You will need significant experience of working in a fundraising/marketing environment, specifically direct marketing and be able to demonstrate use of direct marketing techniques and of developing direct marketing plans and strategies in order to generate loyalty and increase income. The successful candidate will be experienced in working collaboratively and be skilled at communicating both verbally and in writing with donors, suppliers and internal stakeholders.

Please note: this role is being offered at 21-28 hours a week and we would look to take into account the preference of the successful candidate. The salary for this role will be pro-rata to the full-time equivalent of £41,351 per annum.
