We drive better patient outcomes through a comprehensive early diagnosis programme, cutting-edge research, sector-leading treatment access, award-winning information and support programmes, and pioneering healthcare services improvement.

We are now seeking a Director of Finance and Operations to join the Executive Leadership Team at Myeloma UK.

About the role

This is a great opportunity to work at a senior level for a national charity at an exciting time. The Director of Finance and Operations is responsible for leading the strategic direction and operational delivery of the finance, operations and HR functions and will have shared responsibility with the CEO and ELT colleagues for the delivery of strategic and operational plans for the charity.

The role will be responsible for the appropriate governance of the organisation, ensuring compliance with all finance, health and safety and employment regulations.  The postholder will maintain and develop the infrastructure to support the business, in particular the appropriate deployment of IT, HR and operational systems and resources to enable the efficiency and agility of the organisation.

Myeloma UK is committed to actively promoting equality, diversity and inclusivity and we are keen to better reflect the community we serve and help broaden our perspective.

About you

A sound knowledge of HR management and expertise in IT infrastructure and systems approaches will be key to this role.

You will be a strong and enthusiastic communicator with highly developed interpersonal skills, able to enthusiastically engage with a wide range of people. You will bring high levels of integrity and leadership to your role in order to work as part of a leadership team delivering organisational change and improvement.
