We are looking for a Senior Management Accountant who will provide excellent finance support to a growing organisation facilitating the best use of resources across the Academy.

In this key position, you will provide outstanding finance support. Acting as our finance lead across all departments, you will be both an internal expert and a key contact for external stakeholders. Day to day, you will provide ad-hoc support to staff, produce management accounts and submit accurate reporting updates to government and other funders. You will also produce working papers for audit, prepare full accounts for subsidiaries, while managing payroll for around 2-3 days per month. So, you can expect considerable variety and an extremely high profile.

We will look to you to exert real influence with operational departments, so you will require broad knowledge and experience of finance business partnering and a good working knowledge of month end processes. A background in management accounts and advanced Excel skills are essential. You will be able to reconcile different sources of data and produce value add reporting and eloquently describe any action required to best manage the finances of the Academy.

This is a maternity cover role on a 16-month fixed term contract.
