The Board and Chief Executive of NHS Charites Together are seeking a talented, seasoned and strategic senior leader to join the charity at this critical and exciting stage of our growth and development, following the high-profile success of our Covid-19 Urgent Appeal in 2020.

Who we are looking for:

Our new Director of Finance and Operations will play a key executive role in our decision making, with accountability for driving the strategic direction, performance and organisational strategy. Reporting to the Chief Executive and working closely with the Trustees, Honorary Treasurer (a trustee), Audit and Risk Committee and the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), the position will lead on creating a dynamic and commercial operation culture, driving continuous improvement and high performance to achieve operational excellence across NHSCT.

By providing strong, clear and inspiring leadership across the organisation, our Director will help with the design and delivery of our exciting new vision to support our Members and charitable objectives. This will include the implementation of a systems review to underpin the new growth and be responsible, under the CEO, for operational issues particularly finance, HR and training, IT, facilities and compliance issues. This includes acting as Company Secretary with responsibility for financial, legal and regulatory obligations and give applicable input into the effective working of the NHSCT trading subsidiary.

We seek a strong commercially focussed leader with the decisive ability to implement and drive strategic vision, bring a highly successful track record of driving financial sustainability and operational excellence. You will be highly proactive with a proven record of inspiring and developing high performing teams and embedding the most effective and efficient internal systems and processes.

With a relevant professional finance qualification (ACCA/CIMA/CIPFA), you will be able to demonstrate previous accountability for the success of leading Finance, HR, Risk, Facilities Management, IT, Systems Integration and Company Secretary.

You will also have excellent communication and relationship building skills to form effective partnership with all those within NSHCT, including our Board, and with our Members and other key stakeholders.

This is a fantastic opportunity to influence and contribute to the full potential of NHSCT and most importantly enable NHSCT to invest in our vision to support our Charity Members and the wider NHS.
