About Us
Established in 1991, Turning Tides is a community-led charity dedicated to ending homelessness. At Turning Tides, we empower homeless or insecurely housed individuals to achieve sustainable independent living.
We have gone from supporting a handful of people in the coastal town of Worthing to providing a range of services to over 1,700 people in Worthing, Adur, Littlehampton, Horsham and Mid Sussex. We have over 5,000 supporters, 250 volunteers and 150 staff members to date.
We are currently looking for a Corporate Fundraiser to join our team on a part-time basis, working 22.5 hours per week.

By joining our charity, you will play an active part in helping us continue to provide essential services to people affected by homelessness or insecurely housed by increasing our fundraising income from the corporate sector.
The Role
As a Corporate Fundraiser, you will maximise fundraising income by devising and implementing a successful fundraising programme for the corporate sector.
Reporting to the Fundraising Manager, you will nurture and maintain an existing portfolio of corporate relationships and develop and deliver plans to secure new income and identify new opportunities in the corporate sector.
In this role you will also secure Charity of the Year applications, organise and sponsor events, secure partnership agreements and regular giving and general donations.
About You
To join us as a Corporate Fundraiser, you will need:
- Experience of building external networks and relationships
- Good numeracy and computer literacy skills and the ability to make effective use of systems
- Excellent and persuasive communications skills, both verbal and written
- The ability to deliver presentations to groups
- The ability to manage a portfolio of projects effectively and change priorities in a busy environment
- To be organised, flexible and proactive in your approach to work to deliver targets and deadlines
- To be able to work flexible hours on occasion
Experience of working as a corporate fundraiser and/or in a fundraising and/or communications environment would be desirable. Experience of managing and/or co-ordinating successful fundraising events would also be advantageous.
Knowledge of fundraising methods and practices, rules and regulations would be beneficial as would knowledge of Donorfy and/or working with databases.
A valid driving licence and access to a vehicle would be equally favourable.
