COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT OFFICER

 

Salary Scp 27 to 30 £24,659 - £27,358 pa

Actual starting salary Scp 27 £24,659 pa

37 Hours Per Week (Monday to Friday)

These role is funded initially for 12 months (with a view to an extension)

Based in Newport

 

GAVO supports, facilitates and brokers positive change in the Well-being of people and communities through collaborative approaches

 

Third Sector Support Wales (TSSW) is the partnership between Wales Council for Voluntary Action (WCVA) and the 19 County Voluntary Councils (CVCs) working across Wales to support a thriving Third Sector. TSSW deliver 4 core pillars of activity including Governance and Sustainable Funding support.

 

GAVO is looking for an experienced Community Development Officer to provide community development support to the third sector in the City and County of Newport. You will be working as part of our area based, multi-disciplinary team in a vibrant, multi-cultural setting. Experience of working with a wide range of voluntary groups is essential as is knowledge and experience of providing governance advice and supporting groups with funding bids.

 

GAVO is looking for an enthusiastic and flexible team player to join them and make a real difference to support the community.

 

Due to the current CV-19 situation, the post has been adapted to continue to provide this service virtually, however we would hope to return to office/community based working as soon as it is safe to do so.

Mae GAVO yn chwilio am Swyddog Datblygu Cymunedol profiadol i ddarparu cefnogaeth datblygu cymunedol i’r trydydd sector yn Ninas a Sir Casnewydd. Byddwch yn gweithio fel rhan o’n tîm amlddisgyblaethol ar sail ardal mewn lleoliad bywiog, aml-ddiwylliannol. Mae profiad o weithio gydag amrywiaeth eang o grwpiau gwirfoddol yn hanfodol, yn ogystal â gwybodaeth a phrofiad o ddarparu cyngor ar lywodraethu a chefnogi grwpiau gyda cheisiadau am gyllid.
