Community Engagement Manager

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and organised Community Engagement Manager to manage the charity’s social engagement programme across England and Wales.

Position: Community Engagement Manager

Location: Home based

Hours: Full-time

Salary: £28,000 - £33,000 per annum plus flexible benefits

The Role

The organisation believes in the transformational impact of the Bible in society, and are committed to working with marginalised people to help them experience its life-changing power. They work with partners through the careful and appropriate use of Bible resources to effect lasting change. The Community Engagement Manager will share this vision and bring their strong administrative and relationship-building skills to the role.

The Community Engagement Manager is responsible for the social engagement programme across England and Wales. This is a programme which seeks to demonstrate the transformative power as a force for good.

The role will involve designing and delivering programmes including the new Navigating Trauma initiative and supporting social engagement work.

About You

As Community Engagement Manager, you will be a strategic thinker with the ability to prioritise and deliver and have a passion for working with those in difficult circumstances. You will have a deep understanding of the biblical basis for community and a passion for Bible mission, including a desire to impact and transform lives through programmes that enable practical engagement and personal transformation.

You will have experience of:

 

  • Project management and designing and delivering programmes
  • Building, developing and maintaining effective relationships with church and Christian network leaders as well as governmental organisations such as HMPPS
  • Supporter/donor audiences in England and Wales
  • Managing multiple budgets and controlling spending effectively

 

The use of a car with business use cover and the ability to drive is essential to be able to fulfil the requirements of the role, as you will have to travel to meetings and events in England and Wales.
