Marketing and Communications Executive

We have an exciting opportunity for a Marketing and Communications Executive to create and implement a new marketing, communications and digital fundraising strategy for a leading youth charity.

Position: Marketing, Communications and Digital Fundraising Executive

Location: Edgware, London. Partial home-working available

Salary: £25,000-£28,000 (dependent upon experience)

Hours: Full time, 40 hours per week. Permanent

Closing Date: 11th June 2021

About the role:

As Marketing and Communications Executive you will be responsible for developing, managing and maintaining all communications and marketing activities within the Youth Zone to enhance visibility, build support and increase the effectiveness of digital fundraising.

This new post will lead on all internal and external marketing and communications, and play an important role in the Fundraising and Communications Strategy, contributing to diversifying and growing income, and raising awareness of the Youth Zone to a variety of audiences.

The role will give you the chance to innovate and test different ideas, to create a long-term sustainable donor base through a communications approach. You will also develop key messages to be used across the fundraising team and wider charity to raise awareness of the charity’s work and communicate the need for donations.

You will be encouraged to test your creative ideas and drive these forward supported by the Head of Fundraising, the Chief Executive, Operations Manager and a forward-thinking and engaged Board of Trustees.

About you:

You will need to have proven Marketing and Communications experience and a passion for raising money for a charity working with children and young people!

You will also need to bring with you the following skills and experience:

 

  • Experience of planning and managing income generating campaigns – including monitoring budgets and expenditure
  • Experience of managing digital campaigns, including social media and website management
  • Experience of using a CRM system for logging and tracking stakeholder activity
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • The ability to work flexibly and under own initiative to ensure deadlines are met and tasks are prioritised
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office

 

Although not essential some experience of Digital Fundraising would be highly beneficial for this role and the willingness to develop knowledge of fundraising best practice is a must. If you feel this is the role for you and you are passionate about changing the lives of young people apply today!
